Real Food
JoDee was cleared for “real food” which, after three days of me spoon feeding her ice chips, was great for JoDee to hear. She has had plenty of fluids via I.V. to keep her hydrated, but has had nothing to eat since our dinner at Bonefish with Zach and Kristy on Saturday night, and to be honest she tossed that during her surgery. Needless to say, that when she is awake, she has said many times how hungry she is. She wanted some soup and rolls, so we ordered lunch for her. I was able to feed her some of the soup and roll. She did finish the entire dinner roll, but got too tired to finish the soup. I’m just glad she now has something to sustain her a bit better. She has been resting much better and more comfortably with a little food to carry her on. Every little step counts.
